PPO Polyphenylene oxide

PC Polycarbonate

  • Tough especially in exceptional impact resistance, grade of engineering plastics.
  • Good heat resistance, good low-temperature properties (-100℃~130℃).

  • Transparent, good durability and low water absorption.

EVA Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Copolymer

  • Soft, and harden with difficulty at low temperatures, good impact resistance.
  • Good durability and tension resistance, good stress and cracking resistance.
  • Lighter and more transparent than rubbers, good ozone resistance, and nontoxic.
  • With more VA contents, it gets softer, lower Tm(melting point), better adhesion and soluble in aromatic solvents.
  • With less VA contents, chemical resistance is better.
  • Density: 1.20~1.30g/cm3
  • Tg:Physical properties are different with different VA contents.
  • Applications: Power cord sheathing, electrical conduits, insulating materials, tapes, auto seats, chemical plant pipes, auto parts, water pipes, floors, roof materials, heat insulating materials, handbags, belts, plastic hoes, tablecloths, transparent bottles, telephones, toys, agricultural films, coatings, and drug tablet packaging etc.

 

LDPE Low Density Polyethylene

  • Specific gravity is between 0.92 and 0.93, low crystallization (60%).
  • LDPE film is transparent, its strength is less than HDPEs.
  • Good impact resistance and good durability.
  • Good water resistance, good chemical resistance. LDPE film is water vapor impermeable and air impermeable.
  • Electrical properties are excellent (600mv/mil).
  • Foul paraffin odor as it burns, adhesion and printing with difficulty.
  • Aging resistance gets worse slowly in sunlight and heat (100℃).
  • Density: 0.92~0.93g/cm3

HDPE High Density Polyethylene

  • Specific gravity is between 0.94 and 0.96 around, semi-transparent, high crystallization (90%).
  • Good impact resistance and good durability.
  • Electrical properties are exceptional (600mv/mil).
  • Good water resistance, good chemical resistance. HDPE film is water vapor impermeable and air impermeable.
  • HDPE products have relatively softer surface, melts at 125℃. Foul paraffin odor as it burns without smoke.
  • Adhesion and printing with difficulty. Aging resistance ability gets worse slowly in sunlight and heat (100℃).
  • Density: 0.94~0.96g/cm3

PP Polypropylene

  • Low specific gravity (0.9), crystallization resin (95%).
  • Impact resistant in ambient temperature, but impact resistance gets worse at low temperature (-5℃).
  • Excellent abrasion resistance and good resistance.
  • PP film is water and air impermeable.
  • Electrical properties are good. Water resistance and chemical resistance are excellent.
  • Foul petroleum odor as it burns. Adhesion and printing with difficulty.
  • Aging resistance gets worse slowly in sunlight and heat.
  • Density: 0.90g/cm3
  • HDT:100~110℃
  • Vcat:145~150℃
  • Tm:176℃
  • Tg:-10~-18℃
  • Applications: Electrical insulator materials, coverings for electrical products, machine packaging wrap films, sinks, containers, eating utensils, high-toughness high-temperature plastic bags, films, water pipes, and various molded items, mixable with woodchips to form large blocks etc.

 

PVCs Soft Polyvinyl chloride

  • Molecular weight of PVCs is high. Can be softened by adding plasticizers. Additive quantity is different, depends on usages. It is between 40 and 120 PHR.
  • Liberating hydrochloric acid gas and getting dark as heating.
  • Melting in ketone solvents. Resistant to acids, alkalis.
  • Fire resistance and high permittivity, can proceed high frequency welding processing.
  • Good durability.
  • Density: 1.16~1.35g/cm3
  • Applications: Soft films, panels (agricultural films), leathers, floor materials, soft pipes, tapes, seal paddles, sailcloth, soles of a shoe etc.

 

PVCr Rigid Polyvinyl chloride

  • Molecular weight of PVCr is low. Thermal stability is not good. Transparent and tough.
  • Liberating hydrochloric acid gas and getting dark as heating.
  • Melting in ketone solvents. Resistant to acids, alkalis.
  • Fire resistance and high permittivity, can proceed high frequency welding processing. Good durability.
  • Density: 1.35~1.45g/cm3
  • HDT:54~79℃
  • Vcat:83℃
  • Tg:87℃
  • Applications: Hard paddles, hard pipes, curve pipe connectors, flat paddles, surfboards, hard diaphragms, telephone sets, architecture materials etc.

 

POM Polyoxymethylene

  • Engineer plastics, mechanical properties are exceptional.
  • Good fatigue resistance and good creep resistance.
  • Good abrasion resistance, low friction coefficient.
  • Exceptional chemical resistance and good alkalis resistance.
  • Density: 1.41g/cm3
  • HDT:124℃
  • Tm:181℃
  • Tg:-85~50℃
  • Applications: High-grade insulating materials, metal substitute items, crankshafts, and flexible cams, sometimes called plastic steel, curtain sliders, various types of handles, containers, various molded items, and toys etc.

 

TPU Thermo Polyurethane

  • Abrasion resistance is the best in TPE.
  • Mechanical strength is good.
  • Cold resistance is excellent.
  • Poor light resistance.
  • Poor mold release.
  • Density: 1.17g/cm3
  • Tg:-40℃
  • Applications: Fibers, soles, films (including coating), medical equipment, household products, stationery, toys, and clothe materials etc.
